Starting with 2010, the Chio Chips brand of Intersnack Romania has been using only High Oleic oil.
Intersnack Company communicates on its own website: “As we want to permanently improve our products, we created a special production process in order to reduce the saturated fats content in our snacks. We invested considerable time and substantial budgets through using a sunflower oil with a high oleic degree to gradually reduce the content of saturated fats with over 70%”.

A large TV campaign took place in 2010 in Romania. Its message was: “potato chips fried only in sunflower oil for less than 70% saturated fats.”
